the overview!

Project Overview

The project to build the Gasogi 110/15 kV substation included constructing a modern 50 MVA substation and setting up 15 kV distribution lines that are connected to it. This project is essential for improving the electrical infrastructure and guaranteeing a dependable power supply in the area.

Key Tasks Completed:

  • Substation Construction:Successfully constructed a 110/15 kV, 50 MVA substation designed to meet current and future energy demands.
  • Preliminary Studies: Actively participated in comprehensive electrical and civil engineering studies, laying the groundwork for effective design and implementation.
  • Civil Works Execution: All civil works related to the construction of the substation were carried out, including the establishment of an outdoor switchyard designed to handle high-voltage operations, the construction of sturdy foundations to support equipment and structures, and the building of control facilities to house operational and monitoring systems.
  • Installation of High Voltage Equipment:Conducted installation works for all high voltage (HV) outdoor equipment, including Gantries where we Installed necessary gantries to support and organize the HV lines and equipment.

  • GIS Switchgear Installation:Implemented advanced Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) to enhance reliability and reduce the footprint of the substation.
  • Control, Command, Protection, and SCADA Systems:Installed integrated systems for control, command, and protection, along with a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for real-time monitoring and management.
  • Testing and Commissioning:Participated in thorough testing and commissioning processes to ensure all systems function optimally and meet safety standards before going live.

Conclusion

The Gasogi substation project represents a major step forward for the electrical infrastructure in the area, offering improved capacity and dependability. Accomplishing each task has set the substation up to efficiently meet the increasing energy demands of the community.
